Since 1947 Skipton has been privileged to have heard classical Chamber Music presented by artists such as Kathleen Ferrier, Peter Pears & Benjamin Britten, Jacqueline du Pré, Nigel Kennedy, Steven Isserlis, Kathryn Stott and the Escher String Quartet. More recent memorable evenings have been recitals by trumpeter Alison Balsom, the Heath String Quartet, mezzo soprano Jennifer Johnston, violinist Alina Ibragimova and winner of the 2015 Leeds International Piano Competition, Anna Tsybuleva. The majority of our audience consists of season ticket holders but tickets for individual concerts can usually be reserved beforehand or bought at the door.
