Ripon Choral Society

Ripon Choral Society is a friendly community choir of 150 singing members and meets at 7.30pm on Wednesday evenings at St. John's Church, Sharow. Under its conductor John Dunford and accompanist Tim Harper the Society performs three or four concerts each year in the magnificent setting of Ripon Cathedral. From Monteverdi to Mozart, we perform a wide range of choral works, including the best loved repertoire by Bach, Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Brahms and Elgar, and music by contemporary composers such as John Rutter and Karl Jenkins.
