Stamford Bridge Singers

www.stamfordbridgesingers.co.uk

The Stamford Bridge Singers is a small friendly four-part Community Choir based in Stamford Bridge near York. The choir consists of about 40-50 singers with ages ranging from nine to the retired. Conducted by Stuart Nettleship, the Singers perform both sacred and secular music in a range of venues in and around York, North Yorkshire and Ryedale. There are no auditions but a reasonable understanding of music is required plus a voice which blends in well with others. Rehearsals are held every Thursday evening in term-time 7.30 to 9.15pm in Stamford Bridge Junior School and prospective singers are welcome to come along to rehearsals to see what they think. We have occasional social functions and tour from time to time both in the UK and in Europe. The Stamford Bridge Singers is affiliated to Making Music, which represents and supports amateur music societies throughout the UK.
