Harrogate Competitive Festival

Harrogate Competitive Festival for Music, Speech and Drama was founded by Harrogate Town Council in 1936. Its object is to advance the education of the public in those eponymous arts. To this end it holds a competitive festival each year over three weekends in February/March, featuring a wide variety of classes covering solo performers, duets and groups both large and small, young and old(er). All the classes can be viewed by the public as can the Final Concert, featuring the Young Musician of the Festival Competition.
